Stay Focused When Tweeting A Cause

Stay Focused

If you have worked with Twitter for any length of time, and you are passionate about a cause, then I’m sure you’ll understand what I’m talking about.  I have lots of things I see wrong and would like to see changed. There’s Obamacare, Fast & Furious, Muslim Brotherhood, Islam, EMDs & Benghazi to name a few. confusion1

For over a year, my cause has been Benghazi, so I have dedicated my Twitter time to this cause.  I only have so many hours in a day.  Because of this I have been able to develop a following of like minded Patriots and we all in our own little way are trying to keep the pressure on the politicians to investigate this tragedy.

In the process though, it’s very difficult not to get distracted. With so many things going on is easy to make other make tweets on other subjects.

There was an article in AmericanThinker this morning that states more eloquently than I can:

Obama thrives on crises, not solutions.

[snip]
From tip to toe, Obama is a crisis-maker, not a healer.  He stirs up trouble every chance he gets.

[snip]

Obama creates a crisis-of-the-day. Even today there is so much interest in Obamacare that I would like to make some tweets on it but that would be a distraction from #Benghazi.

I have to constantly be on the alert not to be distracted by other things that are going on. I like to keep #Benghazi confusion2about Benghazi and we have been able to keep the Benghazi fiasco alive for over a year.  Some days it seems that Obama’s crisis-of-the-day sucks all the air out of Benghazi. There’s a lot of folks that would like to have this buried under the rug but I think that we have been able to keep the interest alive on this topic.

Now I’m no deep thinker and I sure can’t tell you whether those of us that are tweeting have made a big difference or not. I liked to think that our constant bombardment of the senators and representatives has had an effect but I can’t prove it. The only thing I know for sure is that when I go to bed at night I feel better because I have tried to do something to get to the truth on #Benghazi.
