Rebuttal to FrankMDavisJR founder TPFA

Rebuttal to FrankMDavisJR

This is a big waste of time as I should be working on Benghazi during this 1 year anniversary week.  I tried to stay out of this pi$$ing contest but guess I’ll capitulate. Frank made a statement referring to me as (doing things the TPFA way).  At this time I want to be clear, I am not a member of the TPFA and further (the TPFA may be doing things my way).

Further, anyone Following me on Twitter because you think I am TPFA, please Un-Follow.  Thank You.

Brief History of my involvement with

I’m not a political person, but after what I saw on Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, I felt I had to do something.  I didn’t know that much about Twitter or Hashtags but I started learning.

On Oct. 29, I did my first tweet on Benghazi. Then in the month of November I did 251 tweets, a lot of them re-tweets and probably not very effective, but I was learning.  In December I did 1975 tweets and somewhere along the line I did a re-tweet of one of Kathy Amidon’s tweets. At the time I had no clue she was part of Benghazi Truth.

Then after the first of the year, I started to get more active. I did 3235 tweets in January and on Jan. 19, 2013 Kathy Amidon asked if I would join her in promoting Benghazi Truth.  I looked at the website and the information presented was very well done and I agreed with the direction it was heading, so I agreed to assist her.TwitterEvent

On about Feb 14, Kathy started holding Twitter Events in the evening for a couple of hours where we would contact members of Congress by selectively going to one of their tweets and post a REPLY.  The net result was a thread under the congressperson’s tweet containing numerous comments that couldn’t be deleted and would be visible to anyone else making a comment to the same tweet.  In this way we could praise the congress members supporting our Benghazi views and we would likewise excoriate congress members who were contrary to our views.

At this point, I would like to point out that I felt the views expressed on Benghazi Truth reflected my views and I was happy to do what I could to support them.  Most of the posts were very well thought out and presented.  The owner of the site, went by the handle @FrankMDavisJR – a parody of Obama’s parenting.  I’ve seen reference to someone referred to as Proe.  The real owner I guess but don’t know anything about him.  He claims to be a NYC media professional for 20+ years but more than that you’ll have to figure out for yourself.

I do know this much, Kathy Amidon is a real person, I’ve talked to her on the phone and she is honest, means well and has been the real worker behind Benghazi Truth. She starts at 5 or 6 AM  and goes late into the evening, 10-11 PM.  The tweets she makes as @Kathy_Amidon, she makes using her REAL name.

The tweets made by @FrankMDavisJR are made by ????? who knows.  Needs to come out of hiding and face the world with the rest of us.

I’m a real person and the tweets made by @StanHjerleid are mine, and I take responsibility for them. And yes, some of them I wish I had not sent.

And Now The Rest Of The Story

I’m not the smartest person in the world and my elevator may not go to the top floor but when it doesn’t, I can get out and use the stairs to get to the top.

I didn’t start tweeting about Benghazi to gain fame and fortune.  I had one goal “Hold Obama and Clinton accountable for the Benghazi massacre”. I could care less who get the credit.  There have been thousands of people tweeting over the last year that have the same goal. We are all in this together.

Do we all do it the same way? No. Is my way the best way? For me yes, but for you probably not.  You have your own ideas.  Are your ideas wrong? No.  Thank God.  We need a concentrated effort attacking this Benghazi on all fronts from all directions.

As I already stated, in the beginning I supported Benghazi Truth.  But then, over time things started to change.  I didn’t catch on at first.  The first change was Fox News Boycotts.  FrankMDavisJR (Frank from now on)  said Fox was turning left and we needed to change them.  I joined the boycott, (at the time I watched 3 hrs per night and a couple hrs during the day) so I shut Fox off for 2 days.  Frank said it was a success but not good enough. We needed a 3 day boycott in 2 weeks.  So OK I joined and promoted and shut Fox down.  Well, that wasn’t good enough either.

About this time, I received a phone call out of the blue from a David Freedlander of Newsweek/Daily Beast.  He had evidently seen my tweets about the boycott and called me, and I answered honestly with my feelings at the time.

Well this didn’t go over very well.  Kathy called me, (probably with Frank’s suggestion) and essentially told me I shouldn’t be talking to anyone without Frank’s approval!!! (ALERT).  You will also note that Kathy was called but refused to interview, (probably at Frank’s behest), just a surmise on my part.

And Now Tea Party Fire Ants

Fire Ant

Fire Ant

This is about the time Frank decided to call those of us participating in our nightly Twitter Event – TEA PARTY FIRE ANTS , TPFA for short. (EGO anyone) he was obsessed with this.  In fact some Internet entrepreneur went out and bought the domains with these names TeaPartyFireAnts  Well, Frank was livid.  Go there and read and see his tweets.  Guess Frank doesn’t support free enterprise after all.  In fact, what does he really support?

Frank then said we needed to permanently boycott Fox News until they turned RIGHT. (That should have clued me in, the question I didn’t ask was what was going to be his yardstick know when they had turned RIGHT?)  So I blindly turned Fox off for 3 months. No Fox News.bigstock-Disapproving-businessman-givin-26469029

But a funny thing happened. Search as I might on the Internet, most of the Benghazi news and YouTube videos on Benghazi came from Fox News. Hmmmm.

Yet Frank said OneNewsNetwork was going to be the be-all end-all for Fox and they would be out of business in a year.  He also said Fox’s reporters not looking for Benghazi news (I’ll hitch my wagon to Jennifer Griffin & Catherine Herridge any day of the week).  He say Sharyl Attkisson was the only one really digging.  Sharyl has done a good job under very adverse conditions, but Fox airs daily more Benghazi news than CBS does in a month.

It finally dawned on me that I was biting off my nose to spite my face.  The final nail in the coffin was when I saw a Benghazi report by Judge Jeannine that I thought was powerful and really hit home.

Well I made the mistake of tweeting that to Frank and Kathy.

Here’s the exchange

.@StanHjerleid If #TPFA had NOT been on her f/months while she got sassy, I’d applaud. But #BENGHAZI is real & IMO she is not: “Opportunist”

  1. Kathy Amidon@Kathy_Amidon 12 May

@FrankMDavisJR she’s no better than most of the others, she had her chance to do something ‘before’ now but didn’t. @StanHjerleid

Bottom of Form

  1. Kathy Amidon@Kathy_Amidon 12 May

Big difference ‘imo’ @StanHjerleid in ‘a’ JJ show & Sharyl’s on-going journalistic work & interviews. @FrankMDavisJR

Well that may be a little jumbled but you get the idea.  That was when I posted an article on my website that I was no longer supporting the Fox News Boycott. My Fox News Boycott Has Ended

At that point I was no longer going to be supporting Benghazi Truth.  However I have a lot of respect for Kathy.  After a week of not participating she called me and we had our knock-down drag-out talk.  I agreed to help her continue the Twitter Events every evening for about 3 hours.

She said Frank would let me back into his good graces if I would apologize to him for my article on my site.  I refused.  From that point on, none of my tweets contain his handle.  In my opinion Kathy has one flaw, and that is that she doesn’t do anything regarding Benghazi Truth with out Frank’s blessing.  If you will note, on their threads there are a lot of DMs where they plan behind our backs what will be done next.

What Has Become of Benghazi Truth?

Well let’s see.

  1. Fox Boycott 1
  2. Fox Boycott 2
  3. Fox Boycott Forever
  4. Candlelight Vigils
  5. Overpass Signs
  6. Stamping Money With Slogans
  7. Releasing Balloons
  8. Birth Certificate

Instead of Benghazi Truth looks more to me like Idea Of The Day

Well these may be good ideas, but the final straw for me was incorporating the birth certificate issue with Benghazi.  When they started that I asked Kathy “why are we diluting the Benghazi message with the birth certificate?” Her answer – “you can keep doing only Benghazi if you want.”  In other words, we are going to do the birth certificate come hell or high water.

Again I know why, that’s what Frank wants to do.  He has another site devoted to the birth certificate.  Now I believe the birth certificate is fake and I also believe very few seem to care and I sure don’t want to distract from Benghazi.

The next day just to rub sand in my eyes, they announced they were going to keep doing the birth certificate until Sept. 9 when lawmakers returned.  Didn’t last long though, they have done little on birth certificate, suspect they had a lot more pushback.

The Benghazi Egobigstock-Mr-Tough-2306350

I guess the lesson I learned when following people is to be very careful.  It’s very easy to be so involved you lose sight of the big picture. As the saying goes “can’t see the forest for the trees”.

In the 9 months I was involved with Benghazi Truth, I can’t tell you how many great people with caring hearts worked with us.  On the downside, the turnover rate has been very high.  While I have bared my soul here about my experience, I have had numerous Direct Messages from others that just quit.  They expressed their concerns to Kathy and were not heard.  Again in Kathy’s defense, she takes all the heat as you can’t communicate with Frank. He doesn’t Follow so you can’t Direct Message him. He has no problem dressing down others but I guess his skin isn’t thick enough to post under his real name, come out of hiding and stand up.

We all need to be aware of egos, myself included.

In Closing

In this age of media manipulation, we are susceptible. We are tracked, our computers have cookies, emails read etc. and all this so someone can sway our thinking or worse.

A few years ago, I found several series that deal with the subject of mind manipulation.

They were put out by the BBC and were named:

The Century of The Self

Deals with Freud’s theories of crowd control – Twitter anyone?

The Power of Nightmares

Deals with the rise of politics of fear.

I first noticed tweets from Kathy Amidon & Frank Davis Jr & thought they were legitimate, so I followed & retweeted a few tweets until the tweets became all about boycotting FOX News. I asked why boycott FOX when they seem to be only one reporting on Benghazi? Never got an answer, so un-followed both. Something is up with them & hopefully will come to light. Just a gut feeling.
